      How to get to Macksville Local Court?

      You can get to Macksville Courthouse by flying to Coffs Harbour Airport and taking a rental car to the town. This is the preferred option for our lawyers. It is roughly halfway between Sydney and Brisbane. It is roughly 6 hours drive from Sydney. Alternatively, there are daily bus and train services.

      Macksville Courthouse was designed by government architect Walter Vernon and built in 1894. It is located on River Street near Macksville Police Station.

      Who are the Magistrates at Macksville Local Court?

      The current presiding Magistrate at Macksville Local Court is His Honour Magistrate Brett Thomas.

      Prior to his appointment to the bench, Magistrate Thomas was an experienced solicitor. To this point, the Law Society acknowledged him as an accredited specialist in Criminal Law.
