Heyang Guo

Paralegal

Heyang has been with Astor Legal since 2024. She has quickly made herself an indispensable part of the team, with our criminal lawyers relying heavily on her for case management and preparation.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Communications and is currently studying the Juris Doctor at the University of New South Wales. in the course of her studies she has been awarded the Ella Mackay Award.

Her prior experience includes being a legal research assistant with the University of Western Australia.

Heyang is often complimented on her strong skills in both written and oral communication, critical thinking and legal research. Clients regularly commend her for the clear and calm way she is able to explain complex matters to them, as well as her personable manner.

As a paralegal, Heyang supports our criminal defence lawyers throughout all phases of a case. She has experience across a range of criminal matters, including assaults, domestic violence, Apprehended Violence Orders (AVOs), traffic and fraud offences.

Heyang is also fluent in Mandarin and assists our lawyers in speaking with Chinese clients.

Heyang is expected to complete her degree in 2026.
