      Armidale is one of Australia’s oldest cities. It has a number of ‘heritage listed’ sites including the Post office, railway station and St Peter’s Cathedral.

      How do I get to Armidale Court House?

      Armidale is approximately one-hour drive from Tamworth. It can also be reached from Sydney by CountryLink train which has daily services.

      Alternatively, Armidale Airport is close to the town centre. Our lawyers prefer to fly and then take a rental car into town.

      Armidale Courthouse is on Moore Street. It accommodates both the District and Local Court.

      Who is the Judge at Armidale District Court?

      The current presiding Judge at Armidale District Court is His Honour Judge Warwick Hunt.

      Prior to his appointment to the bench, His Honour worked as a solicitor for Legal Aid NSW and was recognised as an accredited specialist in criminal law. He also practised as a criminal barrister.

      Judge Hunt was also a member of the Consumer Claims Tribunal, the Residential Tenancies Tribunal and the Residential Building Disputes Tribunal.
