      How do you get to Bega Court House?

      Bega Courthouse was built in 1881 and sits near Bega Post Office on the corner of Gipps Street and Carp Street.

      It is in the town centre and easily accessible by bus or car.

      When travelling from Sydney, our lawyers prefer flying to Bega Airport and then taking a rental vehicle into town.

      Who is the Magistrate at Bega Local Court?

      The current presiding Magistrate at Bega Local Court is His Honour Magistrate Doug Dick.

      Magistrate Dick has experience with ‘Circle Sentencing Court’, an alternative court for indigenous offenders.

      Who is the Judge at Bega District Court?

      Until recently, the presiding Judge at Bega District Court was His Honour Judge Sean Grant. Judge Grant has now moved to Albury District Court.

      At the start of 2020, the Bega District Court sittings were closed due to the bushfires.
