      Dubbo Court House contains both the Local and District Court. It was built in 1887 and is Heritage listed.

      Dubbo is approximately 305 km from Sydney. It has an airport, so most people choose to fly from Sydney. There are also daily rail and coach services running from Sydney to Dubbo. It is one of Australia’s most densely populated regional towns.

      The current presiding Magistrates at Dubbo Local Court are His Honour Magistrate Gary Wilson and Her Honour Magistrate Theresa Hamilton.

      Magistrate Wilson was a barrister before his appointment to the bench.

      Magistrate Hamilton was previously the Deputy Commissioner of the New South Wales Independent Commission Against Corruption from 2007 to 2016.

      The current presiding Judge at Dubbo District Court is Judge Nanette Williams.

      Before her appointment to the bench, Judge Williams was a Deputy Senior Crown Prosecutor for many years and, in 2016, received the Director of Public Prosecutions Award for Excellence.
