How to get to Gosford Court House?

Gosford is approximately 85 km from Sydney. It is easily accessible by train. The Courthouse is a short 10-minute walk from Gosford Train Station.

Alternatively, if you are driving, Gosford Courthouse is one hour away from Sydney. It sits next to Gosford TAFE.

You can find parking at Gosford Local Court near the court complex which has a 2 hour limit or you can park in the community carpark. The Imperial Centre at Gosford also offers up to 3 hours free parking. There are a number of paid parking locations within walking distance of the courthouse.

Who are the Magistrates at Gosford Local Court?

The current presiding Magistrates at Gosford Local Court are His Honour Magistrate Peter Barnett, Magistrate Peter Railton and Magistrate Elizabeth Ellis.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Magistrate Barnett worked as deputy senior crown prosecutor at Newcastle.

Magistrate Railton is very experienced, having been on the bench for a number of years.

Magistrate Ellis is a long serving volunteer in the Law Society’s mock law program.

The current presiding Judge at Gosford District Court is Her Honour Judge Tanya Bright.
