Whether it is a cold case from the past or a recent incident fresh in the memory of the public, true crime captures the minds of people across the board.

The below list is what appeals to us most when it comes to true crime docuseries.

This is an utterly tragic series about the very dramatic downfall of a pro NFL player, but there’s nothing like realising you were cheering on a murder during his playing days.

It’s an insight into how medical conditions, which the public often write off as ‘excuses’, can genuinely impact on criminal offending.

4. Don’t F**k With Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer

This is a great and mind bending series – but don’t let the irony of a content producer like Netflix calling you complicit in crime be lost on you.

If nothing else, this shows you the best and worst in humanity and where teamwork and obsession can lead.

Strap yourself in.  Despite being people who deal with crime and criminals on a daily basis – even we found this particularly disturbing. It’s an eye-opening look into the manipulation that can often underpin offending.

Amanda Knox’s tale is infamous. She is but one of the many females who have been crucified by the media for not acting the way people expect or want her to. But that doesn’t necessarily make her a killer, nor does circumstantial evidence.
